Background
The Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens annually organizes the 'Mesa Latino Town Hall' conference, a significant half-day conference that brings together 300+ Latino community members, elected officials, civic leaders, educators, students and parents to discuss issues affecting the Latino community while celebrating its diversity and ways to create positive change.

Each year, MAHC chooses a unique theme and commissions an artist to create a logo that embodies the theme's essence. Thanks to my involvement and contributions with MUST Club, I had the privilege of being selected as the artist for this prestigious project in 2017 and 2018.
To commemorate their fifteenth-year milestone, I was tasked with designing the logo for that year's "Rise Above It/Resurgiendo" themed event, which presented a unique challenge with two distinct yet interconnected concepts:

•The legendary and enduring Phoenix, a symbol of rebirth.
•The cultural celebration of a Quinceañera.

Combining these two unconventional themes posed an exciting design opportunity.
During the conference, I had the honor of receiving the 'Mesa Community College Student Leadership Award' and a scholarship from MAHC in recognition of my leadership and dedication to the Mesa Undocumented Students Thriving club at Mesa Community College.
The theme for this year was "Dedicated to inspire / United to make change". One of the primary objectives for the design that year was to emphasizing the letters "LTH" in Latino Town Hall, with the aim of making the acronym a recurring element in the branding for future years.
The logos I created in 2017 and 2018 gained widespread recognition and were prominently featured throughout the City of Mesa. They were displayed on the website, flyers, social media platforms, and graced the awards presented during the event.
