Background
In my first semester as a first-generation college student at Mesa Community College, there was a need for recourses and support for first-gen students and those in particularly coming from the undocumented experience or a mixed status families.
With the support of local nonprofits, like Aliento and college employees, and leveraging my graphic design expertise and community building and volunteer work around migrant issues, I initiated the establishment of the first-ever school club for undocumented students known as Mesa Undocumented Students Thriving (MUST Club). Our mission was to educate, unite and offer vital resources to students who, throughout their upbringing, faced unequal opportunities compared to peers.
Work
Eager to embark on this project, I wasted no time once the club received approval. I set goals to develop a logo, establish branding, and define MUST club's unique voice for our social media marketing strategy, all within a tight two-week timeframe before the school year commenced.

The final logo design was a harmonious fusion of various elements:
- A representation Phoenix bird for my pride of living Phoenix, AZ.
- A nod to MCC's mascot, the Thunderbird.
- An expression of my fascination with the moon.
- The clever incorporation of the letters "M. U. S. T." into the bird's wings.

Throughout my time as the founder and president and the support of the team I created and managing all content for our Facebook and Instagram accounts, ensuring our club's presence was both impactful and engaging for other students.
